Besides the car industry, the rich wine culture plays an important role in the Stuttgart area. We would like to invite you to a guided tour across Stuttgart's scenic vineyards, combined with a delightful wine tasting experience. Learn about the region's wine-making heritage, its unique characteristics, and discover them with your own senses. This guided vineyard hike & taste event will be organized by the Vintage Winery in Rohracker.
Food plays an equally important role in Stuttgart, and therefore the day finishes with a dinner showcasing the region's most beloved dishes. The dinner will take place at the Waldheim Wangen.
Transportation to the vineyard is organized by FuseNet via 2 buses departing at the hotel at 14:30, allowing you to keep your conference material in the hotel (note that you should wear your name-tag/badge). Transportation back from the dinner location needs to be organized by yourself via public transportation: the stop "Wangen Marktplatz" is only a few minutes of walking away and will take you to "Vaihingen" (where your hotel is) with only 1 change in-between (using the subway-like, yellow-colored U-Bahn), with a total time of ~45 minutes (google-maps link to the route).
Wednesday
After a day full of lectures, posters and discussions, we would like to invite you to the campus beach, directly next to the lecture hall, where you can unwind, mingle, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the University of Stuttgart. Dinner is provided by a food truck, offering different variations of curry.
