Technical Visit – ENEA Frascati & DTT site
During the second day of the event, participants will have the exciting opportunity to join a technical visit to the ENEA Research Center in Frascati, future home of the Divertor Tokamak Test (DTT) facility, one of the most important experimental projects supporting the development of fusion energy.
During the visit, participants will gain first-hand insight into the research activities carried out at one of Europe’s leading fusion laboratories. The program will include:
- Introduction to ENEA Frascati
A short presentation introducing the center, its role in the European fusion program, and the key research activities carried out on site.
- Overview of the DTT Project
A dedicated session on the Divertor Tokamak Test (DTT), focusing on its objectives, technological challenges, and its contribution to the future of fusion reactors.
- Guided Tour of the Facilities
Participants will have the opportunity to explore selected laboratories and experimental areas, discovering the technologies and diagnostics used in fusion research.
- Discussion and Q&A with Researchers (Keynote speaker: Rosaria Villari)
A chance to interact directly with scientists and engineers working at the facility, ask questions, and learn about ongoing projects and career paths in fusion research.
During the morning there will be coffee breaks and a packed lunch, after which we will come back to Viterbo by bus and enjoy the rest of the afternoon, before the gala dinner in the evening.
