Teresa Estrada
PhD in Physics (1993), Head of the Operation Division at the National Fusion Laboratory of CIEMAT.
My research career began when I joined the National Fusion Laboratory at CIEMAT in 1989. Throughout these years, I have made significant contributions in the field of fusion plasmas through the development and scientific exploitation of new plasma diagnostics. In particular, I have been actively involved in the development of microwave reflectometry and have been responsible, over the past decades, for the application of this technique in several fusion devices. I have coordinated national and international research projects, bringing together experts from different areas to ensure the proper preparation and execution of relevant plasma experiments. I have supervised five PhD theses and numerous Master’s theses and am the author of ca. 200 peer-reviewed articles published in international journals, with an h-index of 40 (Web of Science), and over 300 papers presented at international conferences.
