If you are a PhD student in the field of nuclear fusion, then this is an event tailored for you. The aim of this conference is to have a lot of scientific and social exchange between the new generation of researchers.
Padova (Italy) is the hosting city and, next to its wonderful old university and gardens, an important place for fusion research. Here, Consorzio RFX hosts the Neutral Beam Test Facility for ITER and RFX-mod experiment.
Participants contribute with a poster or an oral presentation, the latter being in the PechaKucha format. Following up on the previous edition, abundant time is arranged for these contributions.
There will be budget for accomodation and catering for doctoral students with application and abstract accepted. See Lunch and Accomodation tabs. Travel expenses are not covered. They are arranged independently by each institute (typically via EUROfusion). When eligible, affiliates to FuseNet members have priority. After this, first come first served policy applies.
After May 4th, the list of registrations will be evaluated by the committee and, based on the eligibility criteria, the selection of participants will be made. All registrants will receive a notification of the status of the selection.
Participants who arrive in Padova can register for the conference at Sala dei Quaranta (Hall of Forty) where they will find a registration desk that is open from 08.30 to 09.00.
The conference badge that will be distributed at the registration will be necessary to participate to the Welcome Reception at the Greenhouses of Orto Botanico at 19.00.
